Independence

Happy...er...5th, everybody! Sorry it's late but yesterday we took everything out of the garage, sorted it, re-packed it and then put it back. And I was really...not depressed...but kind of depressed. We didn't get to see any fireworks (and I L-O-V-E fireworks) and we worked all day instead of celebrating, but then my sister, Aimee, said something interesting that I hadn't thought of before. She said "The reason we're able to celebrate independence anyway is because of other people's hard work and sacrifice." and inside I was like "Wow. Ok. That's an excellent point." and then I felt like I had been so selfish. My thoughts before this were that we'd been packing all week and the one three day weekend my dad got off to come home...we had to spend all weekend packing and sorting and stuff. But that's what needed to be done. And it was NOTHING compared to the sacrifice of those who gave their very lives just for independence, and furthermore, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. So therefore, it was an honor to take part in the hard work done on July fourth, even if it was just in the garage.
So, there you have it! I will post pictures soon of my trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico [last month] soon! - -;
Thanks for reading!
With love, through Christ, ALONE,
Savannah Catherine
P.S. And if you haven't been reading previous posts and don't know what were packing for; despite the economy, my Dad got an awesome job in the Charlotte area so he moved in with two single guys in February and has been living there since. We stayed here so my 2nd oldest sister Cait could graduate, and we could finish our plays (we're all in an AMAZING theatre group) and stuff. So we're moving in like three weeks. So, yeah. Just thought I'd clear that up.
